How to Do an Orchid Napkin Fold

[Instructor] Orchid napkin fold.

Lay a large square stiffly ironed napkin

flat on a work surface.

Fold the napkin in half, with the open end closest to you.

Bring the upper corner down,

to meet the center of the bottom edge.

Repeat with the other corner.

Fold the right-hand point of the resulting triangle

up to meet the peak.

Do the same thing on the other side.

Fold these last two points halfway back

toward the right and left points of the diamond.

Fold the napkin in half, and holding the napkin firmly,

pull the bottom point through a napkin ring.

As with all complicated folds,

be sure to practice before a special event.

Flare the top of your petals,

and then the napkin's ready to set on the table.
