How to Do a Fan Napkin Fold

[Instructor] Fan napkin fold.

Start with a well-starched napkin

laid out flat on your table.

Make a one inch fold on one end of the napkin,

then flip the napkin over and repeat.

Keep going until the entire napkin is folded,

but take your time on each fold to smooth down every layer.

This helps hold the napkin's shape later.

You can practice this fold with squares of paper.

And holding the folds firmly together,

fold the napkin in half lengthwise,

and with the fold end at the bottom

place in a deep water glass, let go of the pleats,

allowing the fan to fall into position, and voila,

such a simple way to dress a table.
