Layered Oatmeal

Ingredients

Brown sugar
Oatmeal
Shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation

  1. Put a layer of brown sugar on the bottom of a bowl. Carefully pile on a thick layer of hot oatmeal. Top with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese. If you can, cover the bowl with a plate or other cover and let it stand for a couple of minutes to let the cheese melt onto the oatmeal. You then eat the top savory layer first (if you like sharp cheddar, this is especially good), and eat the bottom sweet layer as your dessert.
