Ingredients

2 13 3/4-ounce cans low-salt chicken broth
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
5 strips bacon, cooked, crumbled (optional)
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons grated Romano
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

  1. Whisk together broth and cornmeal in large bowl. Cook in microwave on High until thickened, about 15 minutes, whisking every 5 minutes to combine. Stir in bacon, Romano, butter and pepper and serve.
