Hummus

This is a most excellent appetizer and it couldn’t be easier to make. You just put everything in the blender and it’s done in about 30 seconds. You can’t beat that.

Ingredients

1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas
3 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon Mexican seasoning
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup olive oil
6 pieces pita bread

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Drain the chickpeas and place in a blender with the garlic, Mexican seasoning, lemon juice, and olive oil. Purée for 30 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth.

    Step 2

    Cut each piece of pita bread into 8 wedges and serve on a plate with the hummus on the side.
