Hopelessly Wilted Greens Dish

Ingredients

About 2 large bunches of hopelessly wilted greens
4 bacon slices
1/4 cup French dressing
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
2 tablespoons chopped chives
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar

Preparation

  1. Tear the wilted greens into bite-size pieces and put them on a plate. Sauté the bacon and chop it into small bits. Mix the bacon with the French dressing, celery salt, chives, vinegar, and sugar and bring to a boil in the bacon skillet. Pour this sauce over the greens. Put the plate of greens with sauce on top of a bowl of hot water and warm gently for 6 minutes. Toss and serve.
