Ingredients

2 ponies (2 ounces) gin
1 pony (1 ounce) kirsch
1 teaspoon Benedictine
1 teaspoon cognac
3 maraschino cherries
2 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup club soda or seltzer
2 teaspoons chilled ruby Port

Preparation

  1. In a blender, blend together gin, kirsch, Benedictine, cognac, cherries, cherry juice, lime juice, sugar, club soda and 2 cups cracked ice, scraping down the sides occasionally, until the mixture is smooth but still frozen. Divide the mixture between 2 stemmed glasses, and spoon the Port over the drinks.
