The Chicken Soup-Tater Tot Midwestern Mashup You Need
Released on 11/01/2016
Hey, I'm Molly A. and today I'm gonna be making
chicken pot tater tot hotdish.
It's a dish that that you would commonly bring
to a friend's house
or you would bring it to a potluck,
and it's just great because it's perfect for the winters.
It feeds a lot of people,
super easy to make;
and it's transportable as well.
Dump it all in to the pot
and then you can put it into the oven.
If you have a farmer husband
who says that he's gonna be in in half an hour
and then it's actually two hours,
it'll keep in the oven and it'll still be hot.
You know, you got your meat and potatoes in it.
It's all in one dish,
and they stay crispy on top;
and then on the bottom they kind of start to
soak in the soup that's below them.
I'm a big fan of the tater tots with ketchup
when the top stays crispy,
and you have that delicious textural excitement in there.
I'll just put it all into a bowl,
top it with ketchup,
sit under a blanket and watch Netflix with my hotdish;
and it's a perfect winter night.
