Grand Marnier

Sliced Strawberries with Grand Marnier Zabaglione

Zabaglione is a light, foamy custard. In this elegant dessert, the warm Grand Marnier-spiked custard is spooned over fresh strawberries just before serving.

Spiced Orange Wine

What could be more French countryside than pulling a chilled bottle of homemade (or at least home-doctored) wine from the fridge for a special celebration? This orange sipping wine is a little sweeter and stronger than a regular glass of white, and it's the perfect aperitif for the onion tart with mustard and fennel .

Grand Marnier Soufflés

These individual vanilla soufflés include a surprise layer in the middle: almond cookies soaked in an orange liqueur syrup.
The soufflés are thickened with a cooked mixture of butter, flour, and milk called a panade, which adds body and richness. Egg yolks are whisked into the panade to form the soufflé base, and then beaten egg whites are folded in to create the soufflé batter.

Vanilla-Poached Pineapple

"I've never been keen on pineapple," food editor Paul Grimes admits, "so I challenged myself to make a pineapple dessert that I would actually like." Charring the wine-poached fruit caramelizes it and softens its acidity while highlighting its floral notes. With vanilla and a cidery syrup, this dessert feels at once wintery and light.

Frozen Orange and Amaretti Parfaits with Espresso Granita

These gorgeous, grown-up treats feature crunchy almond cookies, icy coffee granita, and creamy orange ice cream. Amaretti cookies vary in size—you'll need eight to twelve cookies for the parfaits.

Orange Tapioca Pudding

The unique texture of tapioca—creamy pudding studded with soft, slightly chewy pearls—inspires intense devotion among fans. This version gets lively citrus flavor from four incarnations of orange: zest, juice, liqueur, and fresh pieces of the fruit.

Harvest Tart

Brushing the pastry with egg adds shine while it bakes.

Cosmopolitan Cranberry Sauce

This vibrant condiment takes its inspiration from the popular Cosmopolitan drink. The alcohol heightens the sauce's flavor, but for kids and nondrinkers, the recipe can easily be made nonalcoholic by substituting orange juice for the water and deleting the vodka and liqueur.

Hot Orange Mocha with Grand Marnier Whipped Cream

A drink that can also stand in for dessert.

Fresh Rhubarb and Strawberry Crepes

Forget pie: Strawberry and rhubarb are together again in a whole new way. (Use purchased crepes if you're short on time.)

Citrus Pumpkin Pie With Grand Marnier Cream

Spiked with fragrant lemon and orange peels, and garnished with an orange liqueur–infused whipped cream, this pumpkin pie is full of refreshingly bold flavor.

Ginger, Gin, and Juice

Citrus lovers, pull up a bar stool. Ginger beer creates a lively base for this orange-and-lemon-spiked gin drink.

Strawberry Shortcake with Grand Marnier Strawberry Compote and Chantilly Cream

Chef-owner Michael Mina of Michael Mina restaurant in San Francisco created this recipe for Epicurious's Wine.Dine.Donate program. He recommends using local strawberries whenever possible.

Oranges with Grand Marnier and Cookies

Keep the final course sweet and simple.

Florentine Sundaes

Vanilla ice cream is decked out for the holidays with orange liqueur and purchased almond lace cookies. Look for Florentine cookies at bakeries and some supermarkets.

Poached Oranges with Candied Zest and Ginger

A perfect ending to a holiday meal, these gorgeous golden orbs are remarkably refreshing. And they will remind you why, in days past, good little children often found oranges hidden in the toes of their Christmas stockings.

Apricot-Orange Shortbread Bars

For a pretty presentation, dust these cookies lightly with powdered sugar.
