Apple—Cream Cheese Filling

Ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup apple butter (not unsweetened)

Preparation

  1. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream cheese and apple butter on medium speed until well combined, about 3 minutes. Use immediately, or cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. If refrigerated, let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes to soften slightly before using.
