Ingredients

6 large lemons, thinly sliced
1 1/2 quarts brandy
1 pound lump sugar
1 large block of ice
Orange and lemon slices

Preparation

  1. Steep lemon slices in brandy for 8 hours or overnight. Strain the brandy. Dissolve the lump sugar in boiling water, cool and add to the brandy. Chill. Put block of ice in a punch bowl and pour the liquor over it. Decorate with orange and lemon slices. Serve in 4-ounce punch glasses.
